Its a wagon, it just hauls a very specific kind of load.... I should know, I've driven it many a time. Even took it to auto zone once.
and as a bonus
80's caddy "wagon" I found up in northeast PA, I've seen this twice
Town car "wagon" that is in my town

Former, family run business since 1918, my uncle has been running it since my grandfather died in 99. I've been working in the IT field professionally since august of last year.

Good deal. Family business for me too. I've been in it for a good 8 years now, but definitely not what I want to do the rest of my life.

what are you guys using for a wagon? My uncle picked this 99 deville up brand new about 5 months after my Gpa passed. To date the deville only has about 17,000 miles on it.

'02 Town Car, probably about 50-60k on the clock. We're actually getting ready to replace it fairly soon.

Really? I was never a big fan of town car hearses TBH, and this is coming from a marauder owner. I just don't think they look right. The only upside I see to that is it being RWD. The deville, with 275hp and FWD, torque steers like a bitch. I swear it would rather the driver be in the back every time you put the pedal down a little bit.
The grand marquis which we use for shuffling the priest around, only has about 17k miles on it also, its a 08 GS that he got brand new, to replace his 01 LX HPP crown vic.
Do you know who did the conversion on yours? The deville is a superior

Yeah, we've been Lincoln people for decades, mostly because everyone else had Cadillacs and it was our way of being unique and recognizable. And yes, the wagon definitely knows how to drift. Federal did the conversion.

Thats a point I didn't think about, hearse drifts sounds fun. How well does it move? Do you know if it has the 2.73 or 3.27 rear end? Dual exhaust? Even with a top of the line 239hp I'd imagine its a bit pokey. The deville moves out rather well what it is with the 4.6 northstar. I once outran a lifted 1500 silverado on 37's in a short little street dig. The looks on their faces were priceless lol
I honestly think if I ran the show, I'd be using a 60's or 70's cadillac hearse, THAT would be different from everyone else for sure. I know theirs one home in the area, possibly the one immediately down the street, that uses a 94-96 baby blue LT1 fleetwood hearse, thought that was cool.

Not sure about the rear end but it has the 239 horse V8 and dual exhaust. It's definitely not the swiftest thing with all that extra weight, but it goes well enough to stay out of trouble.
My dream, and something my brother and I have occasionally casually chatted about, is to get a 1961 Lincoln Continental (the year our grandfather started the business) and turn it into a hearse. Something like this but a bit longer and keeping the suicide doors.

that would look pretty wicked. My grandfather actually had a continental of that era for a business car way back in the day.
